Technical Illustration

Illustrating Rathbone Guitar's Double Top Technology. These guitars feature a layer of carbon fibre lattice between two layers of tonewood, strengthening the top of the guitar and increasing resonance.

Pencil Illustration

Pencil illustration and digital colouring for Chris Yacoub's debut album About Time. As is often the case with instrumental fingerstyle music, the songs cover a wide range of stories and dedications: from the family pets (LtoR: Aspen, Daisy, and Dixie), to eventful camping trips where Chris’ children lost their favourite toy to the campfire. From the outset of this project, surreal ways to show the album’s overall theme, “time”, were a big focus. This led to the creation of hybrid elements mixing guitars with time-keeping devices.

Ink & Charcoal Illustrations

A mix of various illustration methods were required in the creation of Kyle Pullan's album Winter Deer. Alongside artwork, this project also required design and template setup.

Digital Illustration

Digital illustration of a robotic Phoenix. Part of the relaunch campaign for US based prog rock band, Digital Life Project, formerly Deaton LeMay Project.

Pencil Illustration

Illustration for Andy Jurik's album Strive. The album explores a mix of classical and contemporary guitar. I was asked to reflect this combination in the artwork, mixing old and new architecture.

Photographic and Digital Illustration

Illustrations for UK based rock band Collateral. Both examples required the creation of physical props in order to be photographed and used within digital illustrations. The cover artwork for the single Glass Sky required the creation of a white flag plus breaking a pane of glass. The "wanted" poster - for the back of the band's self titled debut album - involved designing the poster first, printing it and then burning it. Multiple photos of the burning poster were combined for the final illustration.
